When dachshunds attack!

This morning I decided to walk instead of swim laps. I walked 1.25 miles as fast as I could walk before heading to work. Had 3 dogs come after me. 2 were half grown mutts but one was a dachshund. I really thought he was going to bite me. I stomped my foot at them and the 2 mutts yelped and ran. The dachshund ran at me but stopped about 2 feet short. I've never seen a dachshund act belligerent before. They've always just waddled and wagged. Guess he woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

It's Never Too Late List(still under construction)

Here's some things I'd like to do. Some I've always wanted to do and a lot I've just thought of recently(some I've seen on other blogs and liked).

When you make your own list-make it yours. Give it a name you create. Be sure to have items that range in difficulty so you can achieve successes to keep you enthusiastic until you pull off some of the tough ones.

My list may change from time to time as I add to it. I may even take something off if I decide I really don't want to do it.

I will also have my own private list of a few things I'd like to do but won't publicize. That way I know I'm doing them for me only.

I'm keeping it simple. For example: I need a bicycle for a triathlon and passport to travel and have neither. I won't put that down just to pad the list, it will be assumed anything needed to accomplish the item will be part of it.

If you have any suggestions, tips, or other help feel free to share.

Fitness:

1. Get in shape-specifically I want to get my body fat percentage down to 15%. Recommended is 11-22% for my age group. Currently I'm around 30%.

2. Run a 5k, 10K, around the Circle (a local bypass measuring 13.775 miles around), every level of triathlon from sprint to Ironman. I also want to run a marathon.

Travel:
(I would be cool with hopping off a plane with a backpack and no plan if I reach the point that I don't have to worry about rushing back to work). Just going to these places will be great even if I'm on a schedule. No particular order.

1. Create a charitable non-profit organization
and help 1, 10, 100, 1000 people in need
2. Volunteer at soup kitchen or holiday meal for the
needy.
3. Donate 50, 100, 500, 1000 pounds of food to the
local food bank.
4. Learn CPR.
5. Go thru EMT training.

Outdoors
1. Hike the Florida Trail.
2. Hike the Appalachian Trail.
3. Kayak overnite or longer. Camping and fishing along the way.
4. Spend a weekend or longer in the woods like Survivorman.
5. Catch a 10 lb. bass
6. Kill a 10 pt buck.
7. Bowhunt moose, grizzly, buffalo.
8. Wadefish a local river, taking a backpack and staying out overnight.
9. Kayak to an island off Florida coast, camping, hunting, fishing.
10.Hunt bighorn sheep and mountain goats.
11. Take a military style survival course.
12. Hike in any foreign country from my travel list.
